The Go! Team “Back Like 8 Track”
When I got this album earlier this year, I couldn’t stop listening to “T.O.R.N.A.D.O.” but this track is so epic! It starts off with a little 60s sitcom action, cruises through some serious percussion with Ninja riding the wave, but the CHORUS. Jeez oh man! I think it’s my favorite chorus of the year. You get a little taste of it around the 1:00 mark but those horns are just perfectly positioned. Do not be in my way when this song comes on because I am the King of the Sidewalk.

But I wish Beyonce would take an instrumental like this and put her trademark syncopated screaming on it. I don’t think I would mind her voice nearly as much if she had more things going on behind the vocal. I can picture Beyonce in this video being fierce and having fun. She never really looks like she’s having fun but damn, girl lighten up. You’re a gazillionaire. Act like it.
